Featuring 37 pairs of artists from 30 higher education institutions across the Southeast, the exhibition reflects the rich and diverse landscape of contemporary art education. The works on display span a broad spectrum of artistic approaches, demonstrating both depth of subject matter and originality. Through inventive material use and a strong engagement with traditional techniques, the pieces exemplify the fusion of foundational skills and innovative exploration cultivated within today’s studio programs.

At its core, Emergence is a celebration of mentorship and the shared creative journey, illustrating how artistic knowledge and inspiration are not merely passed down but also reimagined and brought to life in fresh and meaningful ways.
