Sotheby's Artist Reception with Christie Taylor

The Bascom, in collaboration with Highlands Sotheby's, will present a meet and greet reception with Christie Taylor Friday, June 5 from 4:30 - 6 pm at Highlands Sotheby's. A selection of the artists' work will be available for purchase. Additionally, more works are available at The Bascom.

About the Artist

Christie Taylor's work is a study in meraki, the Greek concept of leaving a piece of one's soul and love within a creation. With a degree in psychology and a life spent raising six children, Taylor is a curious artist whose expressive style is drawn from deep observation and a lifelong love of nature. Her journey into painting began in 2018 as a way to connect with her mother during her battle with Alzheimer's. Though her mother could no longer paint, she served as Taylor's art whisperer, passing down a creative legacy. Today, Taylor finds therapy in the process, ensuring every canvas carries a piece of that shared spirit.
