Get ready to explore the amazing world of fiber arts! Spinning yarn, crocheting, embroidering, weaving and sewing by hand or with a sewing machine are all fiber arts. Participants will have the opportunity to create using many of these techniques to create awesome works of art in fiber.

We are going to put the A (Art) in S.T.E.A.M. this summer during the summer STEAM workshop. Explore how art, science, engineering and more overlap to keep us creative, collaborative, and excellent problem solvers.

Let your creativity run wild while learning to craft handmade printing paper, carve printing blocks and use a printing press in this fun workshop that is all about printmaking.

Explore all things three dimensional while working with a variety of fun materials including papier mache, metal, and wood.

Using all of your favorite messy materials, participants will create amazing artworks in mixed media using paint, charcoal, oil pastels and more. Aprons are provided!

Ages 7 – 12

Using the pinching method, students will learn how to create a pumpkin shape.  We will also explore various methods for finishing such as underglaze, stains, and glaze.

Help us make bowls for Empty Bowls using the slab machine and texture pads.  All sizes and shapes will be made.
