Wet Carved Concrete Workshop with Elder Jones

Wet Carved Concrete Workshop with Elder Jones

This three-day workshop with Elder Jones of Sandpudding Studio, guides participants through the practical steps of creating a finished, personalized concrete object, such as a planter or a sculpture.

The class covers the entire process:

  • Day 1: Learn material ratios, mix dry ingredients, and prepare your workstation and initial forms.
  • Day 2: Add water to create the mix, fill the forms, and learn the specific timing and technique of "wet carving" the material as it sets.
  • Day 3: Trim, finish, and sign your completed concrete art piece, followed by a final group cleanup.

Participants will gain hands-on experience with material preparation, form management, and this unique carving technique. All necessary tools and supplies are included.
