Artist Bio
I am a maker of things — a fiber artist rooted amongst the trees. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, but Western North Carolina is my forever home. For me, making isn't about the object. It's about filling things with meaning. Every piece starts as yarn and a hook. There are no shortcuts to this process, just time and care.
I crochet kitchenware, home goods, and accessories from 100% cotton — things made to take a beating and still look beautiful, made to melt into the fabric of your home. I believe every part of life deserves beauty, even the things that hold your dinner. My scrunchies carry the same care in a smaller, playful form — made to last, with a little personality to add to any outfit.
Every piece — washcloth, trivet, potholder, scrunchie, kitchen towel — is crocheted by hand. I hope they bring a little warmth and beauty into your life.
I hold a degree in Studio Art with a minor in Entrepreneurship from Western Carolina University, and create today as Mossy Key Studio, based in Franklin, NC.
