Artist Bio
Barbara Sallows began painting in 2005, studying under an instructor with a passion for Southwestern art. She worked initially in oil before expanding into acrylic and watercolor over the years of continued class instruction. In 2018, she relocated from Dallas to the mountains of western North Carolina, settling in Holly Forest. The beauty and serenity of the region inspire her landscapes, waterfalls, and wildlife paintings. Sallows continues to study with David Berger, owner of Mountain Mist Gallery in Cashiers.
A member of the Art League of Highlands-Cashiers, Sallows participates in the organization's Fine Art Shows each July and October. Her work has been featured in The Laurel magazine and is available at The Bascom in Highlands.
