The Art of Abstract
Bring your sense of adventure and creativity for this workshop The Art of Abstract. This workshop is designed for the new and experienced Abstract Artist working with acrylic painting materials. You will learn to be generous with yourself. Get out of your comfort zone, let loose your creativity, get rid of that inner critic that has you stuck. By the final phase of our exploration, you will be able to put the beautiful finishing touches on your own abstract painting.
A strong composition is key to the success of abstract painting. With various exercises, we will concentrate on ways to find powerful dynamic compositions. We will work on finding interesting shapes and how to place them in and around the canvas that help lead the eye throughout your piece. We will work on linework, and mark making, that reflects your own individual style. We will touch on the color wheel and how to choose beautiful harmonious color palettes for your painting. There will be lots of handouts, and fun new tools to play with, as we navigate our way around the canvas.
Come and play, lets throw some serious paint so that you too can find your own beautiful Abstract paintings.
