Trays All Kinds of Ways

If you want to learn how to make all kinds of different serving trays and unique dishes, then this is the class for you!

We will cover a variety of hand building techniques such as slab construction, coiling, pinching, carving and cutting to give you the skills to make any kind of tray that you can dream up.

This class will include both daily demonstrations and hands-on instruction in a fun and supportive environment that will help you unlock your hand building potential.

Josh will present a variety of tray shapes each day and show step by step instructions on how to make each one. Feel free to emulate the demonstrated forms or use the techniques to make your own unique design. The choice is yours and the possibilities are limitless.

Each participant should expect to make at least 3 of your own distinctive trays during the class.

We will also cover slip decoration, including finger wiping, wax resist and paper resist.

No experience necessary. This class is great for beginners or experienced makers who want to take their handbuilding work to a new level. All you need is a good attitude, an open mind and an interest in exploring the limitless possibilities of form and function.
