Making Large Pots on the Wheel
This is a process oriented workshop aimed toward intermediate and advanced level potters interested in making large scale work on the wheel. There will be both group demonstrations and individual instruction. Techniques covered will include coil and throw, paddle and anvil, and making pots in sections. Both Chad and David have deep connections to the Seagrove pottery traditions through family and work history. We will explore the history of Seagrove pottery and what it is like to work in a traditional pottery community. |
