In this workshop, we will explore techniques to paint smarter (not harder), to see better, and to eliminate confusing mental thoughts that might hamper your creative process. In a positive way you will learn techniques for achieving the following:
- Choosing your best attitude, and eliminating confusing mental thoughts
- Why your materials may be defeating you
- The simplest way to learn to see better
- Three simple questions to create foolproof designs
- How to easily nail your values
- How to create a simplified mother color wash
- The simplest way to mix exciting colors, temperatures and harmonies
- How to apply textured, layered paint without muddy or nasty grays
- How to use chromatic black as a game changer
- The easiest order of places to paint first
- How to check your shapes, edges, and depth
- Answering the key questions to make a great finish.

Located on the Trail Level (lower level) of The Bascom's main building, Adult Studio B hosts a variety of classes, workshops, and more. Entrance is either through the front door of the main level of the building and down the stairs or from the trail entrance on the lower level of the backside of the main building.
