Grow the Bascom

The success of any large project relies on the dedicated people behind it. We are blessed with a passionate group of donors, volunteers and staff. The Bascom has a growing number of volunteers, 300 to date, serving in a variety of capacities. We welcome people who have an interest in helping, whether as committee, board members, teacher’s aids, office workers, or in other capacities.

While we are moving along at a steady financial pace, our future depends on our supporters’ continued generosity. Our immediate goal is to raise funds to pay the balance of construction costs, but we also need to generate monies for an endowment fund to maintain the center once it is completed. We welcome a broad range of giving strategies, including:

• Pledges over a period of time, up to five years,
• Gifts of appreciated stocks and other assets,
• Gifts contingent on sale of a specific asset or assets, and
• Deferred giving commitments such as bequests and charitable remainders.

We offer donors a variety of Naming Opportunities including deferred giving commitments. There will be a donor recognition wall in our atrium/lobby to acknowledge our most generous contributors. We anticipate that the donor recognition wall will list the names of donors and deferred givers at the $10,000 level and above. Other contributors will be honored by engraved pavers and bricks, which will cover our beautiful terrace expanse.
