LEGO Sculpture Competition
LEGO Sculpture Competition
Build your very own LEGO sculpture and display it at The Bascom!
In conjunction with the opening of The Bascom’s 2017 Outdoor Sculpture Invitational, design and build an original LEGO sculpture according to contest guidelines available below, or just drop by and check out the fantastic submissions on display in The Bascom’s Atrium Foyer from May 22 – June 30.
Be inspired by the beauty of the Mountains of Western North Carolina, and create a LEGO sculpture that speaks to the diverse natural environment in which we are fortunate to live and visit.
Submissions should be no larger than 12” x 12” at the base, and no more than 18” high. Submissions should be delivered in person to The Bascom by Saturday, May 20 at 4:00 pm. Participants are responsible for providing their own LEGOs. Submissions should be constructed entirely of LEGO products.
There will be 3 categories for submission: Youth (Ages 16 and under), Adult (Ages 16 and up), and Intergenerational (Youth and Adult Collaboration). The winner from each category will receive a $25 LEGO gift card. Every participant will receive a personalized certificate of participation. Winners will be announced on Friday, May 26. Gift Certificates can be picked up in The Bascom’s B Gallery.
