June 30 - Developing a Personal Vision in Photography II

This class continues to explore the concept of a personal vision in photography and employs techniques to enable the participant to begin to develop his/her unique point of view.  Participation in Developing a Personal Vision in Photography I is not a prerequisite for this class.  Basic DSLR camera operation, a photo shoot and beginning photo editing techniques will be covered.  The participant will bring images he/she has taken in the past to the class and will need a DSLR camera, owner’s manual, flash drive, sturdy shoes and ability to walk several blocks in downtown Highlands.

July 28 - Developing a Personal Vision in Photography III

This class further explores the concept of a personal vision in photography and employs techniques to enable the participant to distinguish his/her emerging unique point of view.  Participation in Developing a Personal Vision in Photography I and II is not a prerequisite for this class.  Basic DSLR camera operation, a photo shoot and beginning photo editing techniques will be covered.  The participant will bring images he/she has taken in the past to the class and will need a DSLR camera, owner’s manual, flash drive, sturdy shoes and ability to walk several blocks.

September 1 - Photographing Vistas

Learn to photograph vistas from scenic Whiteside Mountain.  Basic DSLR camera operation, a photo shoot of area mountain scenes and beginning photo editing techniques will be covered.  Participant will need a DSLR camera, owner’s manual, flash drive, sturdy shoes and ability to walk on a moderately difficult.

The Bascom’s Photography Resident, Vicki Provost, will instruct students in a variety of helpful techniques for the beginning photographer during convenient Saturday classes throughout the year. For more information on topics and times, please visit www.thbascom.org.

Refund Policy: The Bascom reserves the right to cancel any program that does not meet minimum enrollment and refunds will be made. In the event a student requests cancellation prior to 30 days of class/workshop commencement, he/she will be offered a course transfer or refund, less a $50 processing fee. If a student cancels within 30 days prior to the first day of class, no refund will be made.
