Painting from Nature - June

Tuition: $150 member / $185 non-member

Capture the essence of nature in watercolor. Join in this weekly class and explore the beautiful flora and fauna of our mountain region while gaining skills, and knowledge about watercolor, observation skills and creativity. Basic drawing skills are needed. Working from nature is such a joy. Bring a little joy into your life! Some previous experience in watercolor is preferable. Instructor can provide introductory lessons through The Bascom’s “Art by Appointment” program.
Fayne Ansley was born and raised in Atlanta. She attended the Westminster Schools and the Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, Connecticut. She graduated from Harvard University in 1997. She recently completed an MFA at Columbia University. Fayne has studied watercolor with Jeanne Gray in Boston and Jane Haimes in Manhattan. She also studied botanical painting at the New York Horticultural Society with Carol Bolt.
