Methods of Making with Joey Sheehan

Methods of Making with Joey Sheehan

July 30 - August 3
10 am – Noon and 1 pm – 5 pm
Level: All

Focus on making functionally influenced work using a combination of wheel thrown and hand built concepts.  Make pots for the table by using thrown parts and assembling pieces formed from the wheel, slab, and coil. We will discuss and explore methods of surface texture and finishing that will emphasize the form of the pots created. Designed to teach concepts of the wheel as a tool, and how to creatively integrate multiple processes in the studio to form unique and unified pots.  We will take the fear out of throwing and put the fun into forming!
