For the absolute beginner or as a refresher for skilled artists, discover a new sense of self and spirit, enhance your observational skills and develop confidence and awareness. Instruction includes the fundamentals of tools and mediums, design concepts, value and techniques to enhance the development of conceptual understanding and physical ability. Explore drawing without making a lengthy or expensive commitment. P. Knight Martorell is an architect and artist/illustrator who also has extensive experience as an art and design educator. He has taught graduate courses in advance design, graphics and visual thinking, for several years, as an adjunct professor at the University of South Florida's School of Architecture and Community Design. As an artist/illustrator, Knight is fluent in several media but specializes in pencil, pen and ink, watercolor and color pencil. His drawings and watercolor paintings have been exhibited throughout the United States and Great Britain. Supply List: Graphite drawing or sketching pencil, 2H, B, and 2B, 3B and a 6 B, or an ebony pencil; ink pen - disposable fountain pen; hand held pencil sharpener; kneaded eraser, rectangular vinyl (plastic) eraser; drawing paper - 1 pad of drawing paper, either 8 1/2" x 11" or 9" x 12 ", white paper; sketch pad - journal - approximately 7" x 10" (ring bound is best); strongly suggested (but not required): 18" x 24" rough newsprint pad.
