Make ceramic work with a purpose! Expand on your basic
throwing skills and learn how to use cutting, carving and shaving to
enhance your functional pottery. Using a work of art for daily use is a
special treat for everyone. Join us to create your own functional works
with a twist. Stanley Surform blades are recommended which can be purchased at local hardware stores. 10” curved blade model #21-299 and the 5 ½ “ flat blade model #21-398 - only one is needed but a variety is always better The handle/holder that the blade attaches to is optional Michael Sherrill has 3 different Surform blade tools are recommended as well Any other carving tool they can think of such as: cheese cutter potato peeler crinkle cutter, etc. Ceramic supply stores sell small silver loop tools for carving. These usually come in a variety pack of 5 or 6 tools. wooden paddles - both flat and tubular.
