Collective Spirits Wine and Food Festival 2014
During the weekend of May 15 through 17, 2014, The Bascom will present one of the Southeast's premier wine and food events for the culinary pleasure of more than 650 ticketed guests. With more than 11 different events over three days, this fundraising weekend is the single largest fundraiser for The Bascom, ensuring that the unique education, exhibition and community outreach will continue for the year to come.
Exclusive Benefactor Events
The Collective Spirits Thursday exclusive benefactor-only dinners will feature notable chefs and wines, expertly paired and showcased in the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau's finest homes. Friday’s activities will begin with two educational and informative symposiums held at Highlands Country Club (with a light lunch between). For the true wine and food connoisseur, these two tastings offer in-depth exploration of the viticultural areas of Oregon (11:30am) followed by with a truly special foray into the world of Tabasco and its similarity to the art of winemaking (1:30pm). Friday evening’s Stock Your Cellars Market will boasts dozens of award-winning vintners offering tastings of an impressive and varied selection of wines for sale by the discounted case—all to benefit The Bascom!

On Saturday, Collective Spirits culminates with an elegant seated meal and live auction conducted by wine-specialist Greg Quiroga
(Reynolds-Buckley) at Highlands Country Club. Over the years Quiroga's impressive ability to engage patrons and his unparalleled knowledge of fine, collectible wines lend an expertise to the auction leading to exponential increases in net proceeds year after year!
