Rosemary Steifel Book Raffle

And the winner is... Emily Buskirk!

Emily Buskirk is the lucky winner of a raffle of the one-of-a-kind book of original watercolor botanicals created by Rosemary Clark Stiefel to benefit The Bascom. Buskirk's name was drawn at The Bascom's Oct. 2, 2009, Autumn Leaves gala. Pictured here, she and her husband, Frank, display their win the next evening at the art center.

In 2007, Stiefel, a renowned Highlands artist, donated the one-of-a kind handcrafted book containing 20 of her original watercolor botanicals to The Bascom for a raffle fundraiser. The book, leather-bound and made in Italy, features another 30 pages of her images and text about the botanicals for a total of fifty pages. Raffle tickets were $500 each, and all proceeds benefited The Bascom.

In addition to a raffle ticket, every ticket purchaser received a gift of a giclee reproduction (a choice of one of the four above) suitable for framing, signed and numbered by the artist.
