Create and print your unique designs onto soft organic linen cloth. You will learn to carve designs into a rubber-like material that will then be used, along with textile paints, to create surface patterns on fabric. Your printed cloth can be used to make home furnishings and wearables. Expect to leave with one to two scarves or runners of your own design!

Fiber artist Barbara Zaretsky studied textile design at Northern Illinois University and the Art Institute of Chicago, as well as art history at the University of Illinois. She has also studied at Penland School of Crafts. Zaretsky is the director of Cloth Fiber Workshop and owner of BZDesign, a textile design and manufacturing company. Her fine scarves and runners are featured in The Shop at The Bascom.

A 12x60" piece of beautiful organic linen will be provided for each workshop participant; additional fabric will be available for purchase during workshop.
