Finding Your Form Through Nature II October 14-16, 2010
This workshop is a continuation of "Finding Your Form Through Nature - Part I," offered at The Bascom in 2009. Although it is not necessary to have taken Part I, some hand-building experience would be helpful. Continuing the idea of discovering forms that attract and inspire us through the close observation of nature, students will take hand-building techniques in clay to the next level. The goal will be to begin with a smaller clay model and then create two larger pieces in clay that have a relationship. The colors and forms will offer special inspiration as students work with red earthenware and the rich warm tones of terra sigillata. |
