The Bascom, in collaboration with Highlands Sotheby's, will present a meet and greet reception with glass artist, Beth Bowser on Friday, May 3 from 5 - 6:30 pm at Highlands Sotheby's. A selection of the artist's work will be available for purchase. Additionally, more works are available at The Bascom.
Beth, a native of Atlanta, GA, has been working with glass since 1980. Her first glass ventures were in stained glass, and have expanded to include kiln formed glass. She began her own glass business in 1982. Her glass creations include copyrighted designs and numerous commissions. Her kiln formed works include pendants, bowls, plates, and free-hand designs. Both her stained glass and kiln formed glass can be found in private residences, business offices, churches, and other settings across the country. Beth says that the inspiration for her creations comes from many sources, including nature, her imagination, and the unique characteristics she sees in a piece of glass.
